Quality materials

I only use “artists’ quality” materials from leading manufactures, observing recommended application criteria. In this way the work is made to the best material quality standards with regard to longevity and resistance to fading. In the same way all supports are prepared, where applicable, with the appropriate quality primers.

Where work on paper is mounted, all dimensions are shown in inches - image size [aperture] and overall mount size - for framing in imperial size frames. This makes it easy and economical for buyers to arrange their own framing. A backing board is normally included to sandwich the artwork between the mount and the backing board.

Mounts are professionally cut by a local Worcestershire supplier using “Colourmount” manufactured in the UK by Slater Harrison & Co Ltd..

Frames, where included in some of the items, are made by a local Worcestershire specialist supplier. For oil paintings on canvas board I tend to use a modern, unglazed floating style wooden frame with a matt paint finish. These frames can be hung directly using the single “sawtooth” type hanger that is included and fitted to the frame.

All work is original and signed. There are no prints shown except where the item is a limited edition linocut print.
